14-year-old girl kidnapped and abandoned in South 24 Parganas; Rescued by police

A 14-year-old girl from Joynagar was kidnapped after leaving her home following a scolding from her mother. The incident occurred when the minor, upset by the argument, stepped outside her house and was approached by three youths. The abductors allegedly drugged her with a beverage, rendering her unconscious. They then forcibly took her into a white car and drove her towards Baruipur, where they abandoned her on the roadside near Baruipur Bypass.

While on night patrol, Baruipur Police Station IC, Soumojit Roy, discovered the unconscious girl lying by the road. Upon seeing her in a vulnerable state, Roy immediately stopped his vehicle and took the girl to Baruipur Hospital for treatment. Once she regained consciousness, she was able to provide her home address and phone number. Authorities used this information to contact her family, who arrived to take her home.

The girl told the police that the abductors' faces were covered with black scarves, which prevented her from identifying them. She mentioned that they had claimed her uncle had instructed them to kidnap her, but she could not confirm the identity of any of the abductors. The girl also stated that no physical abuse occurred during the ordeal, and she was not harmed in any other way.

Following the incident, Joynagar Police launched a thorough investigation into the case. They are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to track the movements of the suspects and gather more evidence. The police are focusing on identifying the individuals involved in the kidnapping and understanding the motive behind the crime. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
